Our eco journey
From a young age, Anish Nellickal® has been deeply connected to the natural world. This passion led him to establish Nellickal Nursery®, a hub for ecological restoration, specialized gardening, and community engagement. More than just a nursery, it’s a testament to Anish’s dedication to biodiversity conservation and sustainable practices. Whether it’s nurturing fruit gardens, restoring native forests using the Miyawaki method, or sharing the therapeutic benefits of horticulture, we strive to inspire a love for nature and empower individuals to create thriving green spaces. Through our work with the Plant Village Charitable Society and the Plant Aqua and Fish Conservation of India, we are committed to building a more sustainable future, one plant at a time.
Commitment to Sustainability
To address the pressing issues of global warming and climate change, we aim to protect endangered tree species from extinction by safeguarding forest areas and implementing afforestation programs. We plan to introduce hands-on training in grafting, budding, and layering techniques at the school and college levels, and to promote mangrove afforestation initiatives. Rejuvenation and afforestation efforts should be prioritized along rivers, the Canoli Canal, streams, ponds, lakes, and other water bodies. Leveraging the benefits of horticulture therapy, we intend to restore balance and positively impact the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, mental retardation, autism, and other mental challenges, as well as the elderly and those recovering from alcohol addiction.
